Job Description
Responsibility
The Assistant Engineer will allocate approximately 80% of his/her time on project management activities associated with the establishment of a Maintenance Management System (MMS) using IBM Maximo for Jurong Region Line (JRL), with the remaining 20% allocated to licensing and regulatory reporting responsibilities. After the implementation of MMS, the Assistant Engineer will fully focus on Licence & Reporting matters.
The following comprises for key responsibilities from both section in which the Assistant Engineer would be exposed to.
MMS & Data Analytics
• Support the project management process for implementation, configuration and operational rollout of the
JRL MMS.
• Support in the conduct of user requirement gathering involving work management, asset lifecycle data,
inventory management and regulatory reporting requirements across relevant engineering and operation
departments.
• Collaboration with vendors to manage and implement stakeholders’ requirements in MMS.
• Alignment with SBST Rail MMS Team on processes across SBST Rail and SOR.
Licence & Reporting
• Collaborate with SBST to develop overarching asset and performance management framework and plans,
such as monitoring of operation and maintenance key performance indicators.
• Govern and facilitate the analysis and ensure accuracy for internal and external reporting.
• Support in the development and implementation of data governance and quality framework that aligns
with License requirements
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as Digital & AI Office, SBST Rail Asset Management and
Performance teams to ensure licensing requirements are supported
• Ensure effective and efficient reporting through implementation of control process to meet reporting
obligations stated in the License.
• Assist to facilitate and communicate requests and queries relating to regulatory and licensing reporting
from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist to implement Rail Engineering & Performance related procedures and best practices within
Singapore One Rail.
• Secretariat duties for internal and/ or external meetings, where applicable
• Other general duties assigned by supervisor
Requirements
• Diploma in Engineering/ Management / Railway Technology / Information Technology
• Basic knowledge of railway systems, project management, ISO-based Quality/Asset Management, and data governance (e.g. ISO 27001)
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Team player, self-motivated, and proactive learner
