Job description for Air Import Executive at Crane Worldwide Logistics
The incumbent will manage and coordinate inbound air freight shipments for our freight forwarding operations in Singapore. The role involves liaising with airlines, overseas agents, customers, customs authorities, and transport providers to ensure timely cargo clearance and delivery while maintaining compliance with Singapore’s import regulations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end air import shipment processes.
- Prepare and process import documentation including Air Waybill (AWB), Delivery Orders, Cargo manifests, Customs permits (Mawb, Hawb, Manifest, COO)
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data in the freight management system and provide accurate data update as per airlines requirement in TMF system.
- Update, send and acknowledge pre-alerts to all relevant stakeholders.
- To coordinate bookings of air cargo with shippers, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
- Monitor shipment arrivals and update customers on cargo status.
- To arrange cargo collection with transporters if required.
- To arrange shipment deliveries and permit declarations for air import.
- To guide and assist in the Air cargo operation at the terminal if required.
- To respond to all emails timely with accuracy.
- To communicate and coordinate with each stakeholder for efficient execution of shipments.
- Verify freight charges, invoices, and shipment documentation accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, KPI targets, and regulatory requirements.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENT
- Minimum GCE 'O' level / NITEC / Diploma in Relevant Discipline
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications – Outlook, Excel, Word
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Air freight forwarding operations
- Good working experience in air cargo clearance permit declarations
- DG Certification would be an added advantage
- Meticulous, organized, and willing to put the extra effort for tasks completion
- Independent with a keen sense for learning and adopting new skills
- Good team player with a good sense of urgency
- Good communication skills (to communicate with internal and external stakeholders)
Others:
- 5.5 days (Alternate Saturday)
- Incumbent must be willing to work at Changi Airport Cargo (For 1 week once a month rotation)
