Job description for AI community and Academic Content operator at Galaxy Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Research Institute Pte. Ltd.
Position Overview
This role will be fully responsible for content operations for the GAIR DAO community (GAIR DAO) and management of its YouTube channel, while also driving academic networking and resource conversion to support continuous growth in key business metrics.
We are looking for someone with strong capabilities in content planning, cross-platform operations, and academic outreach, who can become a stable and reliable core contributor to the team’s content and resource ecosystem.
1. Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Content Operations & Channel Management
Manage the day-to-day updates and content scheduling of the YouTube channel, maintain a consistent publishing cadence, continuously improve subscriber conversion efficiency, and drive a positive cycle of content influence and resource value;
Synchronize important team-generated content (such as conference summaries and paper analyses) to the GAIR DAO community and encourage meaningful discussions;
Increase video engagement and user participation through community operation strategies;
Proactively propose and implement improvements to content production, engagement formats, or operational workflows, and regularly produce channel performance reports analyzing key metrics such as watch time, subscriber growth, and engagement rate.
2. Academic Resource Networking & Conversion
Leverage local Singapore universities (such as National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Management University) to actively maintain and expand long-term relationships with local AI researchers, PhD students, and key laboratories, building a stable academic collaboration network;
Build and maintain connections with a broader academic community — including authors of top-tier papers and overseas Chinese students — through participation in international academic conferences and technical events;
Effectively convert networking resources into long-term collaborations, including inviting scholars to become GAIR Live guests or participate in co-creating academic content.
2. Requirements
1. Experience & Background
1–2 years of experience in YouTube or other social media channel operations, or content planning in the technology/academic field;
Experience in academic outreach or research community operations is preferred, such as participation in academic conferences or collaborations with universities/research institutions.
2. Skills & Qualities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to independently engage with overseas scholars and users;
Results-oriented with strong execution skills, capable of maintaining content output and achieving goals while handling multiple tasks simultaneously;
Familiarity with or strong interest in artificial intelligence and international academic conferences such as NeurIPS and ICML.
3. Other Requirements
Singapore citizens, permanent residents, or individuals eligible for full-time onsite work in Singapore;
Proficient in using common operational and analytics tools such as Feishu Docs and YouTube Studio.
3. Work Environment & Travel Requirements
This role requires moderate participation in onsite work at top international academic conferences (such as ICRA and CVPR). Main responsibilities include:
Networking with scholars onsite and documenting resources;
Supporting conference-related content development and collecting materials for future content creation;
Participating, where appropriate, in producing timely original content such as rapid commentary and conference notes.
