About the role
Join our client team as an Agriculture Assistant Manager. This full-time position is based in Depok, West Java, where you will play a vital role in supporting the company's agricultural operations and initiatives.
What you'll be doing
The duties are anticipated to include, but are not limited to, the following core tasks, heavily focused on the FS objectives:
A. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication:
• Liaise with Key Stakeholders: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with relevant Indonesian government agencies (e.g., Ministries of Agriculture, Environment, Forestry), local authorities, farmer groups, agricultural cooperatives, and research institutions.
• Lead stakeholder coordination: Schedule, organize, and oversee meetings and workshops,
B. Field Research and Data Collection:
• Regulatory and Policy Analysis (Carbon Credits): Investigate and monitor the national and local legal framework, regulations, and market trends concerning carbon credit generation and trading.
• Project Site Identification Survey: Lead and oversee research activities to identify and evaluate potential project sites based on specific criteria.
• Farmer and Farm Analysis (AWD & Biochar Application): Design and supervise surveys and interviews with target farmers/agricultural corporations to understand their current rice farming practices, willingness to adopt new technologies and their potential concerns, farm economic data (costs, yields, revenue) to inform the economic viability assessment of the CSR Model.
• Competitor and Market Analysis: Research existing agricultural sustainability projects, biochar/soil amendment suppliers, and AWD initiatives in Indonesia to assess the competitive landscape.
C. Documentation and Reporting:
• Draft and Prepare Documentation: Lead drafting and consolidation of FS reports, presentations, and technical documents in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Data Management: Collect, organize, and verify field data to ensure accuracy for economic modeling and feasibility assessment.
• Translation Support: Provide high-quality translation (oral and written) between English and Bahasa Indonesia as required.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in project coordination, business development, or research within the agricultural or environmental sector.
Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and produce analytical reports with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
Adaptability to changing agricultural conditions and market demands
Desired:
• Knowledge or experience related to sustainable agriculture, carbon markets, biochar, or AWD.
• Familiarity with the Indonesian agricultural sector, especially rice cultivation practices
