Youth Empowerment Officer
Are you passionate about education and cultural exchange? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of students? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Youth Empowerment Officer (Donor Relations, Partnerships, Pen Pal and Student Ready) for an exciting cross-cultural project between students in Bali and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Ready Program
Facilitate training sessions and develop engaging lesson plans for the Student Ready Program, aimed at preparing students for higher education and professional environments.
Lead workshops on various topics such as self-esteem, confidence building, and career exploration.
Monitor student progress throughout the program, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
Collaborate with educators and guest speakers to enhance program content and delivery.
Coordinate with schools and institutions to ensure alignment with educational goals.
Women & Girls in Leadership – Develop programs that empower young women by fostering leadership, confidence, and career readiness.
Donor Relation/Partnership
Lead school visits, engaging with educators, students, and stakeholders to promote program initiatives.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with donors, including assisting donors with project updates and field visits,
? Develop and sustain partnerships with secondary schools in Bali and abroad to expand program reach.
Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify new program funding and support opportunities via the tourism industry.
English Club
Develop materials for English club lessons, including audio-visual presentations, project based work,
Financial Literacy – Integrate financial education to equip students with essential money management and budgeting skills.
Understanding the role of tourism in the village. Pros and cons. How to manage tourism in your area and what to avoid.
English Club & Volunteer Engagement – Involve university volunteers in the English Club to support students in developing spoken and listening skills through engaging and confidence-building activities.
Pen Pal and Internship Program
Coordinate with existing partnership schools.
Coordinate with potential partnership schools.
Create Pen Pal project and process deck.
Facilitate communication between school coordinators daily/weekly, if any issues arise.
Monitor progress by tracking letters and ensure adherence to timelines.
Connect students in Bali with peers abroad, fostering friendships and cultural exchange.
Organize fun letter-writing events and virtual meet-ups.
Match students based on interests and language skills, ensuring a rewarding experience for all.
Create e-certificate for Indonesian and foreign students at the end of the program.
Organize program graduation through an online meeting, oversee the overall implementation of the Pen Pal program.
Internship & Pen Pal Program – Facilitate meaningful student exchanges through the Pen Pal program and coordinate internship opportunities that align with students' career aspirations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education or English Education. As the role is to support Uni Ready, Hospitality Ready, etc., classes with engaging interactive activities and conversation classes, the applicant needs high-quality English skills. Plus, in the donor engagement role, including school visits with donors,it means their spoken and listening English must be excellent.
Strong English proficiency (spoken and written) to lead the classes: Uni Ready, Hospitality Ready, English Club and donor engagement activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Experience in project management and curriculum development.
Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse groups.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on program sustainability.
Passion for education and community development.
Willingness to travel locally for school visits and donor meetings throughout Bali and open to work during weekends or evenings when required;
Passionate about youth empowerment and cross-cultural exchange
Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed
A positive and enthusiastic personality

Project Locations & Timeline – Activities will be based in both South and North Bali, adjusting based on Project Timeline and Implementation.
