As a Cook at The Common Uluwatu, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to the restaurant's standards, ensuring consistent quality, taste, presentation, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, and portion guidelines.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently in terms of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting, cleaning, marinating, and portioning.
- Maintain proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure food is stored properly and according to food safety procedures.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work station.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and report shortages or damaged ingredients to the Chef or Supervisor.
- Follow instructions from the Chef and work closely with other kitchen team members.
- Support the kitchen team during busy operational periods.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
- Follow all company policies, kitchen procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Chef or Management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
