About Client:
Micrology Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe that began small-batch roasting in Perth, Western Australia, in 2013, and brought its roasting to Bali in 2020. Its Canggu cafe serves specialty coffee alongside breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes, in a relaxed space where locals, travellers, and creatives come to sit, work, and connect. What You Will Contribute:
As Floor Staff at Micrology Coffee Roasters Canggu, you will be the first and most frequent face guests see. Working alongside the baristas, kitchen, and venue management, you will make every visit welcoming, smooth, and memorable, from the first greeting to the last coffee. This is a hands-on guest service role in a busy specialty cafe, with room to grow your coffee and service knowledge every day.
What You Will Do:
Guest Service
● Greet and seat guests warmly, and make every guest feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
● Explain the coffee and food menu, make recommendations, and handle dietary and special requests with care.
● Take orders accurately, pass them to the bar and kitchen, and serve food and drinks promptly and neatly.
● Check back with guests, handle feedback and small issues politely, and escalate to the Venue Manager when needed.
Floor & Cafe Standards
● Prepare the floor before opening, including tables, seating, service stations, and supplies.
● Keep tables, floor, and service areas clean and tidy throughout the shift, and clear and reset tables quickly.
● Follow cafe SOPs, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.
Teamwork & Daily Operations
● Coordinate closely with baristas and kitchen staff to keep service smooth, especially during busy periods.
● Support takeaway and delivery orders when needed.
● Help with opening and closing routines, stock checks on floor supplies, and handover between shifts.
Who We’re Looking For:
Must-Have
● Fresh graduates are welcome, with internship or trainee experience in F&B service at a hotel or restaurant. Experienced floor staff, waiters, hosts, or baristas are also welcome to apply.
● Warm, friendly, and positive attitude, comfortable welcoming local and international guests.
● Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
● Neat, quick, and attentive to detail, with the stamina to be on your feet throughout a busy shift.
● Team player who takes feedback well and works smoothly with baristas and kitchen staff.
● Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays, and based in or near Canggu.
Nice to Have (Will Set You Apart)
● Interest in specialty coffee, or basic knowledge of coffee drinks and brewing methods.
● Experience in a busy cafe or brunch venue, or one with international guests.
● Familiarity with POS systems and order-taking.
● Eager to learn, with a friendly, easygoing personality that fits Micrology’s relaxed, energetic atmosphere.
