About the Role
Karlo is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editing Intern to join our team. You'll work closely with our content and creative team to produce engaging video content across various platforms. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your editing skills, work with industry-standard tools, and contribute to real projects from day one.
What You'll Do
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos (social media, marketing, internal, or promotional content)
- Add music, sound effects, graphics, subtitles/captions, and color correction as needed
- Collaborate with the creative/content team to understand project briefs and deliver on brand tone and style
- Organize and manage video assets and project files systematically
- Revise edits based on feedback in a timely manner
- Stay up to date with video editing trends, formats, and best practices (e.g., short-form content, reels, etc.)
Requirements
- Video editing skills: Demonstrated experience or strong portfolio in video editing (personal projects, coursework, freelance, or professional work are all welcome)
- Software proficiency: Comfortable working with the Adobe Creative Ecosystem (Premiere Pro required; After Effects, Photoshop, or Audition a plus)
- Commitment: Able to commit to the internship duration and agreed working hours/days
- Availability for hybrid work: Willing and able to work both from the office and remotely as needed
- Attention to detail: Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual/audio quality
- Communication: Able to receive and act on feedback constructively
- Time management: Able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
