Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and story-driven Video Editor to produce high-quality video content. You will transform raw footage into engaging stories with sharp pacing and visual appeal that resonate with the gaming audience ranging from short-form social content and tournament highlights to long-form promotional and brand videos.
Scope of Work (Responsibilities)
- Post-Production Assembly: Edit, cut, and assemble raw footage (gameplay, live stream captures, interviews, and b-roll) into polished, cohesive video content.
- Short-Form Content Creation: Produce engaging short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) utilizing fast pacing, trending audio, and relevant visual hooks.
- Long-Form & Campaign Videos: Edit long-form content including YouTube contents, & esports tournament highlights.
- Motion Graphics & Audio Post: Implement motion graphics, text animations, sound effects (SFX), basic color grading, and audio mixing to enhance overall production value.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain a clean media library of raw footage, project files, and audio assets.
- Collaboration: Work alongside Content Directors, Producers, Graphic Designers, and Scriptwriters to bring creative concepts to life.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Video Editor (prior experience in gaming, esports, or youth pop culture content is highly preferred).
- Technical Skills: Mastery of primary editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and basic visual effects.
- Strong sense of pacing, cutting rhythm, color grading, and sound design.
- Gaming Knowledge: Familiarity with gaming mechanics, industry culture/slang, and current editing trends popular in esports and gaming communities.
- Portfolio / Showreel: A compelling Video Showreel or Portfolio (required) showcasing a diverse range of editing styles (both short-form and long-form).
- Soft Skills: Open to feedback, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects under fast-turnaround schedules.
