About the Role
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Video Editor & Motion Graphic Designer to join our team at an Australian gaming/tech agency. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of video editing, motion graphics, visual storytelling, and gaming content, with the ability to produce engaging, high-quality video content for digital platforms with a remote team in a fast-paced agency environment.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce high-quality gaming videos, promotional content, trailers, advertisements, and social media videos.
- Create engaging motion graphics, animated titles, transitions, lower thirds, and visual effects.
- Develop creative video content for platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and paid advertising channels.
- Create gameplay edits, highlight reels, gaming montages, and other gaming-related visual content.
- Collaborate with the creative, marketing, and content teams to understand project requirements and campaign objectives.
- Translate creative briefs and storyboards into visually engaging video content.
- Ensure consistent branding, visual quality, pacing, sound design, and storytelling across all deliverables.
- Optimize video formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions for different platforms.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.
- Stay up to date with gaming trends, editing techniques, motion design styles, and social media content formats.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, Motion Graphic Designer, Multimedia Designer, or in a similar creative role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing video editing, motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated interest in gaming, esports, gaming culture, or digital entertainment.
- Good understanding of video composition, pacing, typography, color grading, and sound design.
- Strong creative thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Have:
- Experience editing gaming or esports content.
- Ability to create 3D animations and visual effects.
- Familiarity with sound design and color grading.
