About the role
Rasarasa is looking for a Vice President of Operations to lead the end-to-end operations of its foodcourts and bazaar events. You will oversee everything from planning and preparation to on-site execution and post-event closure. Working closely with landlords, mall management, tenants, vendors, and internal teams, you will ensure that every operational detail is well coordinated, activities run smoothly, and financial targets are achieved. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong commercial judgment, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple locations and events simultaneously.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all operational activities for foodcourts and bazaar events, covering planning, preparation, setup, execution, dismantling, and post-event evaluation.
- Develop operational plans, timelines, staffing arrangements, and resource requirements for each location and event.
- Act as the main operational contact for landlords and mall management, coordinating venue requirements, access, facilities, schedules, and operating rules.
- Coordinate with tenants to ensure readiness, smooth onboarding, compliance with venue requirements, and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring agreed scope, quality, timelines, and costs are met.
- Lead internal teams and assign clear responsibilities to ensure effective coordination and accountability.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, monitor spending, and control costs to protect profitability.
- Work with relevant teams to assess event feasibility, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Oversee on-site logistics, utilities, equipment, cleanliness, security, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable permits, food safety requirements, venue policies, and health and safety standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in foodcourt operations, event management, bazaars, exhibitions, retail venues, or a related business.
- Experience managing operations from initial preparation through execution and closure.
- Strong ability to coordinate with landlords, mall management, tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Solid budgeting, cost-control, and financial analysis skills, with a track record of delivering profitable operations or events.
- Experience leading operational teams and managing multiple projects or locations simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, according to operational and event schedules.
