Job Description:
- Developing and executing transportation plans for materials, equipment and personnel.
- Optimizing routes, modes of transport and delivery schedules.
- Communicating with drivers, dispatchers and other transportation personnel.
- Working with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and address any issues.
- Maintaining communication and updating stakeholders on shipment status and potential delays.
- Managing inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock for ongoing operations.
- Monitoring shipment movements and tracking progress.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Managing transportation budgets and seeking cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiating rates and contracts with carriers.
- Analyzing shipment costs and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, invoices and bills of lading.
- Preparing reports and documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or Transportation
- Has 1 year experience in transportation or logistics
- Proficient in using Excel and Google Sheets for data processing and reporting.
- Able to interpret, analyze, and create reports based on operational data.
- Communicative, responsive, and proactive.
