Job description for Technical Sales Engineer at PT Intra Multi Global Solusi
ISolutions Indonesia is seeking a proactive and driven professional to join our team as a Technical Sales Engineer, responsible for developing business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting sales growth for capital equipment and engineering solutions within the mining and heavy industrial sectors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4–7 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or capital equipment sales
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical disciplines is preferred
- Experience working with mining companies, EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, or industrial clients
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Able to understand technical specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documentation
- Target-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling long sales cycles and project-based opportunities
- Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Willing to travel frequently across Indonesia and occasionally overseas for business or training purposes
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for capital equipment and technical engineering solutions within the mining and mineral processing industries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, EPCMs, consultants, contractors, and end-user clients
- Engage with operational and maintenance teams to understand technical requirements and propose suitable solutions, services, and spare parts
- Promote engineering solutions, aftermarket services, repairs, and technical training programs to prospective and existing clients
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, tenders, and support commercial negotiations
- Coordinate with internal engineering, project, and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct client visits, site meetings, networking activities, and industry engagement to expand business opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming mining projects to support business growth
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, customer interactions, and opportunity tracking through CRM systems
