Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. Key responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson materials, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and personal growth. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate regularly with parents to ensure student success. This role requires a strong commitment to teaching and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

Job Specification :

  • Curriculum Delivery & Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align perfectly with the Cambridge International syllabus (e.g., Cambridge Primary, IGCSE, or AS/A Level) for the assigned subject.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Design and administer formative and summative assessments based on Cambridge assessment criteria. Accurately track student progress and prepare them for internal and external Cambridge board examinations.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and independent inquiry.
  • Parent-Teacher Communication: Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress, behavior, and areas for improvement through reports and scheduled meetings.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous professional development, including official Cambridge International training, workshops, and departmental meetings to stay updated with syllabus changes and modern teaching methodologies.
  • Pastoral Care & Extracurriculars: Support the holistic development of students by acting as a homeroom teacher or mentor, and contribute to the school's extracurricular activity (ECA) programs.

Job Requirements :

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Education or a specific subject area (e.g., B.Sc in Mathematics for a Math Teacher). A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Diploma in Teaching, or Akta IV) is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of teaching the Cambridge Curriculum (IGCSE, AS/A-Level, etc.) in a recognized international or national-plus school.
  • English Proficiency: fluent English proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 7.0 or CEFR C1 level), both written and spoken, as English is the medium of instruction.
  • Thorough understanding of the Cambridge syllabus structure, learner attributes, and examination marking schemes.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Canva, etc).
  • Cross-Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural school environment with expatriate and local staff.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Creative in designing lesson plans and adaptable to different learning styles and student needs.
  • Empathy & Patience: Strong emotional intelligence to support students' academic and personal well-being.
