Job description for Systems Engineer at Lebry
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Architect, deploy, and configure server infrastructure (physical/virtual), cloud services, networking components
- Operations & Maintenance: Perform daily system monitoring, health checks, patch management, and capacity planning. Ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, deployments, and configurations
- Security & Compliance: Harden systems, implement security best practices, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Incident & Problem Management: Provide support. Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues. Participate in on-call rotations and lead root cause analysis (RCA).
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop, test, and maintain DR/BCP plans and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with development, security, and support teams. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a System Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Proven experience with virtualization platforms
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, Firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider
- Proficiency in scripting for automation
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of security principles, identity management and backup solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to converse in English (Business Professional English Level) is MANDATORY
Nice-to-Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with containerization and orchestration
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
- Experience in a DevOps/SRE culture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with database administration (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
NOTE : This position will be have a first contract with 4 months durations
