Job description for System Engineer Intern at Lebry
Position: System Engineer Intern
Type : Internship
Duration: minimum 4 months
Placement: IZI Charge, sister company of Lebry (Setiabudi, South Jakarta)
Join our IT team and get hands-on experience managing real infrastructure, from virtualized servers and networks to endpoint security and staff support. You will work closely with our systems engineer and software engineering team.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor and maintain Proxmox VE environments and Ubuntu Linux servers to keep resources balanced and uptime high
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network traffic using MikroTik routers and internal switches
- Support Cloudflare DNS administration and set up secure remote access for staff via WireGuard VPN
- Configure, deploy, and secure company devices (Windows laptops and desktops, Android/iOS phones) using ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Mobile Device Manager
- Assist with hardware setup, testing, and lifecycle management (Dell, Lenovo, Asus, HP, and others)
- Perform OS updates, patching, and vulnerability remediation on Windows and Linux systems
- Monitor server health, bandwidth, and firewall logs, and escalate critical alerts to senior engineers
- Write and maintain documentation: network topology diagrams, IP allocation sheets, and SOPs
- Provide first-line IT support to internal staff for software, hardware, and connectivity issues
Requirements:
- Final-year students or fresh graduates in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of Linux, Windows administration, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Familiarity with virtualization, MikroTik, or MDM tools is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
