Job description for Supervisor Merchandiser at PT. Anugrah Jaya Retailindo
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and supervise the Merchandiser Development team in managing product development activities.
Manage the end-to-end sampling process, including proto, fit sample, PP sample, and production readiness.
Develop and monitor the Time & Action (T&A) Plan to ensure all development milestones are achieved on schedule.
Coordinate closely with suppliers, factories, and internal teams (Design, Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, and Purchasing).
Monitor fabric and trims sourcing, ensuring material readiness according to production timelines.
Review and approve technical documents, Bill of Materials (BOM), and production-related documentation.
Identify potential production risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor product quality during development and production, ensuring compliance with company and customer standards.
Prepare development progress reports and provide regular updates to management.
Drive continuous improvement in merchandising development processes and team performance.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in garment merchandising, product development, or apparel manufacturing.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team in a supervisory capacity.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric, trims, sampling, sourcing, and production processes.
Experienced in managing multiple styles/SKUs and development timelines simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) will be an advantage.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of ownership and urgency.
