Job Description
- Supervise daily laboratory operations to ensure all testing activities are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Lead, manage, and develop the laboratory team while ensuring adherence to SOPs and laboratory procedures.
- Review and verify test results to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data.
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and availability of laboratory equipment.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), laboratory safety, and 5S practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
- Prepare laboratory reports and support internal, external, and customer audits.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to improve laboratory efficiency and maintain consistent product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience, including at least 6 years in laboratory testing, analytical chemistry, quality control, or the oleochemical/manufacturing industry, and 3 years in a Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Control leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control principles.
- Proficient in operating laboratory instruments, including GC, ICP, AAS, moisture analyzers, and titration equipment.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and Root Cause Analysis/CAPA implementation skills.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, laboratory safety, and 5S practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); SAP experience is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English.
