We realised there was a gap in the market for integrated end-life scenario solutions that bridge the gap between the financial and legal sectors that are professional, yet accessible and affordable to the everyday person in Singapore.
Helmed by professionals with backgrounds in the legal and finance industries, Bequest is first platform of its kind that combines:
- An estate advisory consultancy;
- A full-service law firm;
- A full-service accountancy firm; and
- A financial advisory services provider.

The Opportunity
Bequest is growing its advisory team to assist in consulting with mass market affluent and high net worth individuals regarding their wealth management, optimisation and distribution needs.
To penetrate this challenging market, we are looking for dynamic and driven individuals who possess the 3Cs - charisma, confidence and charm - to engage with our clients to analyse their financial situation, objectives and existing distribution and management infrastructure with the view to identifying structural weaknesses and pressure points. As an Estate Analyst with Bequest, you will have the opportunity to develop your network and get to know the high net worth (HNW) and mass market affluent (MMA) individuals, while building up communication skills, business development acumen and learning to identify opportunities to add value.
The Bequest Summer Internship commences in May 2022 and runs till early August 2022 for a total of 10 weeks.
Participants will need to undergo certification and attend intensive training conducted by our in-house lawyers, medical specialists and estate analysts. After the training and certification phase, participants will need to be prepared to engage in hands-on activities: engaging with HNWIs, scrutinising financial portfolios and statements and delivering their findings in easy-to-understand reports and presentations. They will also be trained in solution creation and portfolio restructuring and enhancement.

What You Will Learn
- Estate Planning for HNWIs - risk management and wealth distribution / management in end-life scenario planning; learning how to build legal and financial infrastructures to support the intent of the individual vis-a-vis his or her dependents
- Business Succession and Risk Management Planning - learning to identify the risks inherent in any business model, including ownership transition, loss of essential staff, reputation and enterprise risk
- Employee Retention, Benefits and Incentive (ERBI) Structures - how business can incentivise their staff more efficiently, while improving retention, performance and culture
- Presentation and Communication skills
- Networking
Job Description
As a Bequest Estate Analyst Intern, you will:
- Engage with mass market affluent (MMA) and high net worth (HNW) individuals on matters relating to management or distribution of their assets in end-life scenarios
- Perform financial analysis and identify key pressure points and catastrophic failure events
- Propose cutting edge and sophisticated solutions melding finance and law to create value propositions to optimise the management and distribution of their assets in an end-life scenario
Requirements
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- For males: Must have completed NSF liability
- Must have achieved either:
- GCE ‘A’ level passes in at least three ‘H2’ and two ‘H1’ subjects;
- A diploma from a public polytechnic in Singapore; or
- an International Baccalaureate Diploma qualification
- Must have no prior or pending convictions in Singapore or in any other jurisdiction for any criminal offences
- No adverse credit history and cannot be an undischarged bankrupt
