Job description for Stockyard Manager at Tata Motors Indonesia
We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Stockyard Manager to oversee vehicle stockyard operations across multiple locations in Indonesia. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, stock movement, operational efficiency, and performance monitoring across all stockyards.
The ideal candidate must have strong data analysis capabilities, advanced hands-on SAP experience, and proven ability to manage multi-location operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations across multiple vehicle stockyards.
- Monitor vehicle inventory, stock movements, unit availability, and stock ageing across all locations.
- Spare part stock management at all yards to support PDI related activities.
- Coordinate with last mile delivery vendors for vehicle readiness and deliveries.
- Ensure accurate inventory records through regular physical stock counts and reconciliation with SAP data.
- Utilize SAP for inventory transactions, stock transfers, reporting, and data analysis.
- Analyze inventory data and prepare accurate, timely reports for management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, stock ageing, yard utilization, and operational productivity.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve inventory control.
- Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth vehicle movements and stockyard operations.
- Manage stockyard teams, optimize space utilization, and standardize operational procedures across locations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in stockyard management, inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Experience managing multiple stockyard or warehouse locations is highly preferred.
- Advanced hands-on SAP experience is a must, particularly in inventory management, stock movements, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Excellent data analysis skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of vehicle inventory management, stock ageing, and physical stock control.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Willingness to travel to stockyard locations as required.
