Job description for Stock Investment Analyst at Focus Motor Group
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stock Investment Analyst to join our growing investment research team. The ideal candidate will support senior leader in monitoring financial markets, evaluating equities, preparing research reports, generating insights & execute that guide investment decisions. This role is perfect for individuals with strong analytical skills who are passionate about finance, data, and the stock market.
Responsibility
- Conduct fundamental and technical analysis on publicly traded companies.
- Assist in tracking daily market performance, trends, and financial news.
- Support senior leader in creating equity research reports, valuation models, and investment recommendations.
- Analyze financial statements, earnings reports, and company filings.
- Build and maintain financial models including DCF, comparable company analysis, and scenario analysis.
- Collect, clean, and interpret data from financial databases.
- Prepare regular reporting presentations, charts, and dashboards for internal management meetings.
- Monitor economic indicators and sector-specific developments.
- Participate in team discussions regarding investment strategies and portfolio positioning.
Qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in the capital market / investment industry
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field will be advantage.
- Proficiency in AI & IT for Finance & Capital related will be advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred).
- Familiarity with financial analysis tools or platforms (e.g., NeoBdm or similar) will be advantage.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities—capable of preparing clear and concise reports.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- High level of curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Internship or academic project experience in equity research, investment banking, or portfolio management.
- Understanding of technical indicators and charting tools.
- Owned basic financial certifications (e.g., WPPE, WMI, etc) will be advantage.
- Placement : PIK 2
