About the Role
Discovery Lab is looking for a STEM Teacher to join our education team. You will teach students aged 4–12 years old through hands-on STEM activities, helping them explore science, creativity, problem-solving, and basic engineering concepts in an engaging classroom environment.
The role focuses on practical learning through science experiments, hands-on activities, and simple engineering projects designed for children. We welcome candidates from any academic background who are interested in working with children and are willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Teach STEM lessons to students aged 4–12 years old.
- Conduct age-appropriate science experiments and hands-on STEM activities.
- Guide students through simple engineering, building, and problem-solving projects.
- Encourage students to explore, ask questions, experiment, and develop their own ideas.
- Explain scientific and engineering concepts in a simple and engaging way.
- Adapt activities to suit different age groups and learning abilities.
- Create a safe, positive, and enjoyable classroom environment.
- Prepare and organize materials needed for STEM activities.
- Monitor students' participation and progress.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the Discovery Lab team.
- Participate in teacher training and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Minimum S1 (Bachelor's Degree) in any field.
- Good spoken and written English is required.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Fresh graduates and current undergraduate students are welcome to apply.
- Patient, responsible, creative, and comfortable working with children.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable conducting hands-on activities and working with practical materials.
- Willingness to work on weekends when required.
