Job description for Sr Accounting & Tax at Mister Aladin
1. Responsible for all end-to-end General Accounting activities and ensuring the system closing runs smoothly.
2. Manage the general accounting function, including monthly closing processes, reporting, and others.
3. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures (internal controls) to protect company assets.
4. Maintain operability of the computer system as required and involved in validating/designing suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
5. Coordinate work related to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company’s financial records.
6. Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
7. Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
8. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
9. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
10. Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
11. Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
12. Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
13. Review and update internal Accounting Policy and prevailing Accounting Standards.
