About the Role
Toteme Glamping Kintamani is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in maintaining the quality, consistency, and cleanliness of our restaurant kitchen in Kintamani, Bangli, Bali.
You will be the right hand of the Head Chef and lead daily kitchen operations. Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and themed dinners for glamping guests, so you will keep the same standard on every plate.
Key responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, and step in for the Head Chef when absent.
• Prepare dishes and ensure quality, recipe accuracy, and presentation standards.
• Help develop and update menus, including seasonal menus and themed dinner packages.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control to reduce waste.
• Uphold hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards across the kitchen.
• Train, schedule, and develop kitchen team members.
• Coordinate with front of house and management on guest needs, allergies, and special requests.
Requirements
• At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience, including at least 1 year as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
• Strong command of Indonesian and international cuisine. Basic pastry skills or vegetarian/vegan menu experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and inventory management.
• Proven leadership, calm under pressure, and attention to detail.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and to be based in Kintamani.
• A culinary or hospitality education background is a plus.
