Job description for Sound Designer at Motion The Agency
We are looking for a Freelance Sound Designer to support our animation projects with high-quality sound effects, audio mixing, and music integration that bring each story to life.
you will work closely with our creative and animation team to create polished audio experiences for animated videos. You will be responsible for selecting, editing, and layering sound effects, balancing music and voiceovers, and ensuring the final audio enhances the visuals without overpowering the message.
Responsibilities
- Create and apply sound design for animated videos, explainer videos, product demos, ads, and social content.
- Source, edit, and layer sound effects that match the animation style and visual timing.
- Mix voiceovers, background music, and sound effects into a balanced final audio track.
- Enhance motion, transitions, UI interactions, and key visual moments through sound.
- Work closely with animators and creative leads to understand the intended mood and pacing.
- Make audio revisions based on internal or client feedback.
- Deliver organised, high-quality sound files within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain consistency in audio quality across different projects and video formats.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on SaaS, technology, product, or B2B videos.
- Experience designing sound for UI animation, product interfaces, or branded motion graphics.
- Familiarity with collaborating through tools such as Frame.io, Slack, Google Drive, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of different delivery requirements for social media, website content, and advertising videos.
