Job Description
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of banking applications and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks and executing automated test scenarios across web, mobile, and API platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Build and enhance automation testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects/issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Conduct API testing and automation using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Execute automation testing within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Prepare test documentation, test cases, test reports, and automation test results.
- Ensure application quality, security, and compliance with banking industry standards.
- Participate in release validation, UAT support, and production verification activities.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and QA best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in QA Automation Testing (hands-on working experience in projects/companies, not bootcamp or training only).
- Strong experience in automation testing for web, mobile, or API applications.
- Hands-on experience with anykind of automation testing tools, such as: Katalon Studio/Cypress/Appium/Playwright/Selenium or similar automation tools.
- Experience in API testing using tools such as: Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent tools.
- Familiar with test automation frameworks, test case design, and defect tracking processes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working on banking, financial services, or highly regulated industry projects is highly preferred.
- Familiar with SQL/database validation and backend testing.
- Basic programming/scripting skills (Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, or similar) are preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
