Job Summary
Responsible for growing the brand's social media presence across multiple platforms not merely posting. Owns the growth strategy for the brand's social accounts, working closely with the Content Creator to turn content into measurable growth: followers, reach, and engagement. This is a growth-first role: the main focus is strategy, analysis, and community management, with content production as a supporting task to back up the Content Creator. The Social Media Specialist decides posting timing, which content to push, which trends to ride, and how each account grows week over week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & execute the growth strategy across the brand's social media accounts
- Determine optimal posting timing, captions, hashtags, and engagement strategy per account
- Monitor daily performance, analyze which content performs, and give direction to the Content Creator
- Research current social media trends and execute relevant, brand-safe trend-jacking
- Community management: respond to comments & DMs promptly (many prospective buyers ask here)
- Maintain the content tracker and produce weekly performance reports
- Support content production when needed a supporting task, not the primary role
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience managing brand social media accounts
- Verified to have created fyp content
- Proven experience growing an account from the ground up (please share numbers if available)
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms able to explain why one piece of content performs and another does not
- Data-literate: comfortable readng analytics (views, engagement rate, reach, saves) and making decisions from them
- Up to date with current social media trends and able to execute them quickly
- Basic content production skills (simple shooting/editing) to back up the team
- Detail-oriented, disciplined in maintaining trackers, and communicative
Nice to Have
- Experience in social commerce / affiliate ecosystems
- Experience with health/wellness or beauty/body care brands
- Basic copywriting skills for captions & hooks
- Familiar with social media scheduling & analytics tools
