About the Role:
The Social Media Manager is one of the most exciting and rewarding positions at Sand & Sky and will play a pivotal role within our growth plans. We are looking for an ambitious and creative individual to plan and develop inspiring content that lives across all social media platforms, with the goal of driving reach, engagement and brand love.
As one of the most important channels in the business, you will manage a pipeline of content to support our brand pillars and campaigns using your great eye for aesthetics, knowledge of the beauty industry and experience in social media strategy. Your aim is to develop and execute a best-in-class social media strategy for the brand to engage our global audience in a meaningful, unique way.
This role provides tremendous opportunities for the right candidate: to capture the energy and rapid pace of a fun, hardworking and fast-growing start-up, while being responsible for a sizeable and growing part of our global footprint. Do you have a proven track record of developing successful Social Media strategies? Is performance your main driver? Is your finger on the pulse of what’s hot in beauty and what’s new and trending on social?
Responsibilities:
- Source and create beautiful, cool, unique and inspiring photos, videos and content to help drive the brand across its social media feeds.
- Develop innovative social media strategies that target global audiences across various social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Blogs) and are in line with the brand positioning.
- Spearhead unique and meaningful campaigns that not only help to drive engagement and reach, but also effectively build an emotional connection to the audience and lead to a strong digital experience.
- Relentlessly engage with our followers to create positive bond with the brand by amplifying conversations and offering ways to connect and engage
- Be at the forefront of the latest market trends by monitoring online conversations, competitor feeds and what’s trending in beauty, fashion, media and lifestyle and make strategic suggestions to the brand.
- Work within a variety of social media management tools and content management system for scheduling and publish content on a global scale.
- Develop frameworks and actively monitor the performance and progress of the brand’s social media platforms and campaigns.
- Monitor our online reputation on 3rd party product reviews and beauty websites, engage with customers talking about us and report on hot conversation topics.
- Develop and build the brand’s fandom.
Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Must have an excellent eye for great aesthetics and what is trending
- 4 years of professional experience as a social media manager within the beauty, fashion or lifestyle industry
- Strong and decisive leader
- Active profiles on minimum of 3 social media channels
- Experience in implementing and optimizing social media strategy
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Ability to brief and guide designers to edit created content
- Knowledgeable and confident in the world of beauty
