Job description for Social Media Content Specialist (Consumer Goods) at Coding Studio

Overview

We're a new consumer goods brand getting ready to launch, and we need a Content Creator to help build brand awareness through content, from planning and scriptwriting to shooting and editing video. As an early joiner, you'll help shape our content pillars, tone of voice, and publishing rhythm from scratch, instead of just picking up a calendar that's already in place.

Job Description

The main focus of this role is content planning and end-to-end production, which includes:
Putting together a monthly content plan and calendar that lines up with our marketing and launch timeline
Writing scripts for short-form (Reels/TikTok) and long-form (YouTube) videos, plus captions
Shooting and directing video content (product, behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, campaigns)
Editing videos (cutting, color, subtitles, simple motion) using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro
Keeping up with content trends and checking out what competitors in consumer goods/FMCG are doing
Teaming up with the Graphic Designer for any supporting visuals
Tracking content performance (reach, engagement) and adjusting the strategy based on the data
Coordinating with talent or influencers when a shoot calls for it

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a Content Creator, Content Strategist, or similar role (Social Media Specialist, Videographer with content planning experience)
Comfortable with video editing tools like CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
Good handle on social platform trends (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
Strong sense of storytelling, with a good eye and ear for visuals and audio
Able to work independently, take initiative, and comfortable owning the whole content process from planning to final cut
Open to working in a fast-paced startup environment and comfortable with some ambiguity as an early joiner
Nice to Have
Experience with consumer goods/FMCG products
Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects) or product photography experience
