Job description for site manager at PT Prevented Ocean Plastic Indonesia

Qualification :

  • Minimum Bachelor of Management / Environmental Engineering/Industrial Engineering or any related major
  • At least 1 year of working experience as Business Development preferably in plastic recycling and/or plastic manufacturing
  • Previous experience in buying and negotiations with supply chain
  • Having sufficient English ability, both oral and written is a must (Active Intermediate)
  • Computer literate, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent project management and cost management skills
  • Ability to conduct a material survey
  • Able to deal with difficult clients or suppliers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results orientated with a positive outlook
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to be placed anywhere depending on company needs
  • Able to commit to extended hours where necessary
  • Have good time management and prioritizing skills
  • Have a valid driving license A and/or C

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time within budget, and to the right quality standards
  • Oversee delivery of materials carry out safety checks and sort out any problems
  • Conducting a survey in order to obtain potential suppliers and ensure the availability of supply chain
  • Keep in close contact with members of their site team at all times, and liaise with relevant parties, e.g. suppliers, recycler facility, government, etc.
  • Makes sure the progress is running well with the plan
  • Ensure that work complies with Prevented Ocean Plastic standards as well as other legal requirements
  • Create weekly and monthly reports
  • Ensure the achievement of efficiency and productivity
  • Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Address and report safety concerns promptly
  • Mediate on-site conflicts
