Job Role:
The Site Manager acts as the primary field inspector and leader on the project site. You are responsible for the end-to-end management of housing construction, ensuring projects stay on schedule using MS Project. A key part of this role is being a "tough" leader who can proactively handle site issues and maintain a harmonious relationship with the local community and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Inspection: Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work quality meets company standards.
- Project Scheduling: Use MS Project to analyze progress, identify delays, and ensure timely completion.
- Community Relations: Act as the main point of contact for local residents; proactively handle complaints and coordinate collaboration with the local community.
- Site Management: Manage all site resources, including workers and materials, from start to finish.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Take initiative to fix site issues immediately without waiting for instructions.
- Reporting: Provide regular technical updates and progress reports to the Technical Director.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering; architectural background not preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager in landed house/residential projects, managing large-scale developments (500–1,500+ units) from land clearing to handover.
- Strong on-site inspection skills, overseeing sub-contractors, progress, materials, and quality control to prevent defects.
- Proficient in MS Project for scheduling, tracking progress, and delay analysis.
- Solid technical knowledge of residential structures, soil, drainage, budgeting, and material control.
- Capable of clear technical reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Resilient, proactive, and firm in managing site challenges, local communities, and contractors.
- Tech-savvy, fast learner, and adaptable to new software; basic English proficiency.
