Job description for Senior UI/UX Designer at Apiary Talents
Apiary Talents (Headhunter & Outsourcing Service) is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join a technology startup building an Internet of Things (IoT)-based product for tracking operational vehicle assets in the Information Technology & Services industry (AgriTech & Logistics Products).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire end-to-end design process: user research, persona development, user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Build and maintain a consistent design system across all company products (web and mobile).
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure design implementation is accurate and feasible.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback and data.
- Present design decisions and rationale clearly to C-level executives in a way that is easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor team members (including engineers) on UX principles, accessibility, and design best practices.
- Design dashboards, data visualizations, and complex interfaces that present data intuitively.
- Leverage AI tools, particularly Claude, to accelerate design processes such as UX writing, content strategy, competitive analysis, and ideation.
- Establish and maintain consistent brand visuals across all company touchpoints.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation (style guides, component libraries, design tokens).
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in modern design tools, especially Figma (required), along with prototyping and handoff tools.
- Minimum 1 year of active experience using Claude (Anthropic) in daily work, including UX writing, research synthesis, ideation, or content strategy.
- Experience mentoring and guiding a small, junior team, with the ability to teach design principles effectively and patiently to non-designers.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining design decisions, UX trade-offs, and visual rationale to C-level stakeholders in a clear and accessible way.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first approaches, and platform guidelines (iOS & Android).
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with product and engineering teams.
- Ability to design data-driven interfaces such as dashboards, charts, KPI visualizations, and complex data tables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in startup or early-stage company environments.
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, React) to improve collaboration with engineers.
- Experience designing B2B, SaaS, or fleet management/logistics products.
- Experience building design systems from scratch.
- Ability to independently conduct and analyze user research.
