ABOUT THE ROLE:
PT Serikat Raja Lokal (Beeme Indonesia) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting professional to join our Finance, Accounting, & Tax (FAT) department. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for reviewing and finalizing financial reports, maintaining internal controls, and coordinating audits to ensure our financial operations run optimally and accurately.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Review transaction recordings, journals, account reconciliations, and working papers prepared by Junior Accounting staff.
• Lead the month-end closing process to ensure financial reports are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of accounting policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls.
• Analyze variances and unusual accounts, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and supervise the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to prevent material outstanding items.
• Act as the primary Person in Charge (PIC) for providing data and coordinating with internal audits, external audits, and tax purposes.
• Coordinate across relevant departments to guarantee that all transactions are recorded completely and accurately.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, including accounting system development and workflow automation.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Junior Accounting staff to elevate team competence and output quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of proven working experience in the Accounting field.
• Previous experience working in the Retail or FMCG industry.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing Consolidated Financial Statements (Group FS).
• Hands-on experience in executing inventory counts (stock opname) as well as inventory control and maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of basic accounting principles, accounting cycles, transaction journals, and month-end closing procedures.
• Deep understanding and ability to apply up-to-date Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK).
• Expertise in recording marketplace sales transactions, including the reconciliation of settlements, fees, and e-commerce channel revenues.
• Solid understanding of tax treatment (Income Tax/PPh and Value Added Tax/PPN) for corporate transactions.
• Proficient in operating accounting software, specifically Accurate Online, as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, precise data reconciliation abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven leadership ability to review work and provide clear direction to junior staff.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is highly preferred.
