Job Summary:
As the Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, maintain, and evolve a freight management platform. You will combine hands-on software development with technical leadership, mentoring, and a strong focus on platform stability, scalability, and engineering quality. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can deliver production-ready solutions, improve team capability, and contribute to the company’s long-term autonomous freight management vision.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade software across the platform.
- Deliver scalable, secure, maintainable, and customer-focused features using modern engineering practices.
- Lead complex technical implementations involving APIs, integrations, workflow automation, AI services, and distributed systems.
- Participate in solution design, technical planning, architectural reviews, estimation, and risk identification.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers across the engineering team.
- Lead code reviews and promote strong coding, testing, deployment, and platform design standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and recurring production problems.
- Improve system observability, resiliency, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and operational readiness.
- Support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and the continued development of the production-support model.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development speed, quality, and automation.
- Contribute to agent-based solutions and identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation.
- Review and validate AI-assisted outputs before production deployment.
- Reduce technical debt while improving platform maintainability, scalability, and delivery velocity.
- Work closely with Product, Customer Success, Support, Commercial, and Operations teams to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and technical recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Support customer-facing technical initiatives, onboarding, and deployment activities when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with modern cloud-native architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET, preferably .NET 8 or newer.
- Experience building APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reliable systems; strong system-design experience is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and improving engineering standards.
- Comfortable taking ownership of testing and quality assurance for your own work in an environment without a dedicated QA function.
- Experience using AI development tools, such as Anthropic or Codex, and contributing to AI or agent-based solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as SAP, TMS, ERP, warehouse, or logistics systems is an advantage.
- Experience in freight, logistics, transport, or supply-chain technology is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
For this position, the client’s budget is between IDR 18.000.000 - 28.000.000 /month
