We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Senior SAP BASIS Consultant at our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia location. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring technical and business solutions based on user requirements analysis. As a key member of our Global SAP Centre of Excellence, you will report directly to the Global SAP CoE BASIS Stream Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
• We ask that you have broad expertise across the SAP BASIS Domain with skills in different technologies such as ABAP + JAVA systems, S/4, HANA + ASE databases, SAPGUI + FIORI front end environments, and related system and security configuration activities, monitoring and issue handling.
• Propose, configure, document and unit test technical/business solutions according to the functional and technical requirements following SAP standard and our standards as closely as possible.
• You will liaise remotely with several your colleagues across the globe
• You will be proactive in building excellent working relationships with both your IT colleagues and functional/business stakeholders
• Within the first 1-3 months, you will have the exciting challenge to demonstrate your proactive nature and swiftly gain a comprehensive understanding of our SAP systems.
• You will be required potentially to work on our SAP systems (e.g. ECC, S4, EWM, CFIN) linked to EMEA and USCA and APAC regions for supporting any emergency and available in on-call rotation.
• You will evaluate the x-stream impact of any solutions proposed and ensure that SAP and standards are followed.
Qualifications:
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Excellent level of remote communication, autonomy and tasks coordination skills
• Min 5 years' experience in SAP BASIS activities
• Outstanding self-starter with a commitment to delivering high quality work in pressurized environments
• Hands-on mentality and analytical skills
• Be comfortable working independently in a “remote working” organization
• A 3-4 year degree in Information Management, Computer Science
Your knowledge of SAP must include:
• Participation in S/4 implementation as a BASIS Consultant
• Understanding SAP’s technical model and toolset available at the various levels
• Performance issues handling at the level of: ABAP/JAVA, S/4, HANA, FIORI, SAPGUI, SAP Cloud Platform
• ABAP/JAVA/DB technical upgrades + System/Client Copies
• Understanding of SAP BTP
