Job description for Senior Interior Designer (Hospitality Design only) at M+ Design Associates Pte. Ltd.
- Responsible for all design phases of assigned projects including but not limited to space planning, details.
- Working closely with the Design Director & project teams to ensure designs are in accordance to contractual and client’s agreement.
- Working closely and assist in co-ordination with other consultants and clients when the need arises.
- Working closely with project team on producing full sets of tender & construction drawings / specifications.
- Ensuring that project assignments are completed within the given deadline.
- Reviewing of shop drawings / samples, strike-offs, and materials etc. for compliance with specifications and design intent.
- Participate in project meetings and Client presentations as needed.
- Travel internationally for assigned project presentations, coordination meetings and site visits as required.
- Flexibility in handling multiple projects.
- Able to coordinate, delegate, give feedback, and mentor subordinates regarding their work and professional development including problems solving.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Interior Design.
- At least 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality projects.
- Strong in Interior Design conceptualizations and documentation.
- Possess adequate knowledge of Microsoft office, Sketch up. Photoshop and AutoCAD.
- Strong in time management of own project schedule, maintain project correspondence and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent presentation skills, meticulous, creative, team player, highly motivated & possess a positive working attitude.
- Experience of dealing with international hotel operators and consultants.
- Excellent communication skills in oral and written language skills in English.
- Mandarin, oral and written skills are an added advantage (in order to liaise with Chinese speaking associates)
- Experience in managing China luxury hospitality or f&b projects would be an advantage.
