Job description for Senior HR Generalist at The OCX
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on Senior HR & Talent Acquisition professional who can help OCX hire the people we need while building our HR foundation from the ground up. This role will have a strong focus on talent acquisition, including both Indonesia and international hiring. At the same time, you will be responsible for establishing practical HR systems, SOPs, and processes as the company grows. This is a hands-on role. You will not simply maintain existing HR processes. You will be expected to build, execute, improve, and take ownership. You will report directly to the COO and work closely with the CEO and management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Talent Acquisition
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
- Manage recruitment for both Indonesian and international positions.
- Work with users to understand hiring needs and define candidate profiles.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job platforms, communities, referrals, and recruitment partners.
- Conduct CV screening, interviews, assessments, and candidate evaluation.
- Build and maintain active talent pipelines.
- Coordinate offer preparation, negotiations, and hiring documentation.
2. HR System & SOP Development
- Build HR systems, policies, workflows, and SOPs from the ground up.
- Establish processes for recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management, employee records, leave, contracts, and offboarding.
- Create and maintain standardized HR documentation.
- Identify gaps in current HR practices and develop practical solutions.
- Implement HR tools and systems that can support OCX's growth.
- Continuously improve HR processes as the organization evolves.
3. HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR administration and employee records.
- Coordinate attendance, leave, payroll inputs, contracts, renewals, and other HR administration.
- Prepare employment letters, HR documentation, and related records.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees.
- Coordinate with Finance on payroll and employee-related matters.
4. Employee Relations & Performance
- Support managers and employees on workplace and HR-related matters.
- Handle employee concerns and support appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate probation and performance review processes.
- Support KPI and performance management implementation.
- Help managers address performance issues and clarify expectations.
- Support employee engagement and internal HR communications.
5. HR Compliance
- Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable Indonesian employment regulations.
- Support HR requirements related to international and cross-border hiring.
- Identify potential HR and employment risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Coordinate with external legal or HR advisors when required.
- Maintain proper employment documentation and records.
6. HR Reporting & Workforce Planning
- Maintain accurate HR and recruitment data.
- Prepare reports covering headcount, recruitment progress, turnover, attendance, leave, and contracts.
- Track recruitment timelines and hiring priorities.
- Provide management with relevant HR insights.
- Support workforce planning as OCX continues to scale
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
- Experience recruiting across different functions and seniority levels.
- International or cross-border recruitment experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working in a startup, technology, e-commerce, or fast-growing company is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian employment practices and HR administration.
- Experience building HR systems, processes, or SOPs from scratch.
- Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Comfortable working directly with senior management.
- Able to work independently with limited existing structure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
