Senior Fullstack Developer (PHP)

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer interested in building global messaging technology provider delivering SMS, voice, and API-based communication solutions to businesses worldwide. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong backend focus, working within a Symfony-based architecture.

What You Will Do:

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Symfony)
2. Work with and progressively modernise legacy codebases
3. Build and optimise APIs (REST/SOAP integrations)
4. Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
5. Manage and optimise data storage across MySQL, Couchbase, and Elasticsearch
6. Maintain and enhance UI components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS
7. Work with jQuery / vanilla JS (React exposure beneficial)
8. Improve usability across dashboards and internal tools
9. Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines
10. Collaborate on deployment, monitoring, and system reliability improvements
11. Drive code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
12. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real-time systems
13. Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving system design

Requirements:

1. 5+ years experience in full-stack or backend development
2. Strong expertise in PHP (Symfony framework essential)
3. Proven experience working with production systems at scale
4. Solid database experience: MySQL (mandatory)
5. Experience with NoSQL/search systems (Couchbase, Elasticsearch) highly desirable
6. Strong experience with API development and integrations (REST/SOAP)
7. Experience working in Linux-based environments
8. Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows
9. Strong debugging and production issue resolution skills
10. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
11. Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimisation
12. Ability to work with legacy systems and refactor incrementally
13. Experience with AWS cloud services
14. Experience with Python (scripts, tooling, or services)
15. Willing to work according to Australia time or 6 AM – 3 PM Jakarta Time (9 hours include 1-hour break)
