Position Summary: The Senior Procurement will lead the procurement function, focusing on sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization. This role requires a deep understanding of the markets, negotiation skills, and the ability to align procurement initiatives with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to build and maintain strong vendor partnerships.
- Drive initiatives to improve procurement processes, including risk management, cost reduction, and supplier performance metrics.
- Manage international freight forwarding activities, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and minimizing delays.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline logistics operations and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Oversee the selection and evaluation of third-party logistics providers to maintain high service standards and competitive pricing.
- Monitor procurement budgets, forecast future costs, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and perform market analysis to ensure the best value across purchasing categories.
- Work closely with the supply chain, finance, and operations teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth execution of projects and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs, and import/export policies.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans to manage supplier or logistics disruptions.
Qualifications:
- English communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in an international setting, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across cultures and teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and trends in global sourcing.
