Job description for Senior Backend Developer at Nongki Kreasi Bangsa
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a full-time project for a company based in Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience, with a solid background in the **Fintech or Banking industry**. You will be involved in building and maintaining scalable backend services for a financial technology environment, working with modern cloud infrastructure and enterprise-grade systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build reliable and secure systems for financial/fintech applications.
- Work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
- Develop integrations with internal and external financial services.
- Ensure high standards of performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex production and system issues.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
- Contribute to improving backend architecture and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js and backend application development.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based systems.
- Previous experience working in the Fintech, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services industry.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorization, security, and data protection.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.
- Comfortable working in an international team and communicating in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with payment systems, digital banking, financial platforms, or banking integrations.
- Experience with Azure services such as **Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage**, or similar.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with enterprise or regulated environments.
- Experience in the Middle East / Saudi Arabia market is a plus.
