Job description for Senior Accountant (Based in Batam) at GlobalTix Pte Ltd
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the Finance Support team who is responsible for processing invoices received from suppliers, and reconciliating payments received from customers with our internal reports.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for existing staff and conducts performance evaluation
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
- Oversees reconciliation work performed by Finance Support team.
- Resolves those issues picked up by the Finance Support team with the relevant teams (Finance team in Singapore, Operations or Commercial teams located in Batam etc)
- Coordinates with local auditor and tax agent for statutory accounts and tax filing
- Presents recommendations to Finance team in Singapore on potential improvements to work processes or policies.
- Performs other ad hoc duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good management and supervisory skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using accounting software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
