Job description for Security Guard at PT Bali General Supply (BGS)
Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Surveillance:
- Monitor entrance, exit, and general surroundings to ensure the safety of all staff, guests, and property.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or safety hazards immediately to the Store or Operations Manager.
Access Control:
- Greet guests professionally at the entrance and manage entry if crowd control is necessary.
- Ensure unauthorized individuals do not access restricted or staff-only areas.
Loss Prevention:
- Prevent theft, vandalism, or misconduct within the premises.
- Conduct routine checks during and after store hours to ensure inventory and assets are secure.
Support During Incidents:
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies such as fire, medical situations, or disputes.
- Assist in evacuations or first-aid coordination if needed and follow BGS emergency procedures.
Crowd & Parking Management:
- Assist in directing guests during busy hours or events.
- Monitor vehicle and bike parking to prevent disorder or damage.
Daily Reporting:
- Maintain a logbook of security observations, incidents, or maintenance issues.
- Communicate clearly with the outlet leader or manager regarding security concerns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a security or safety-related role (hospitality or retail preferred).
- Physically fit and alert with strong attention to detail.
- Calm, disciplined, and professional in appearance and behavior.
- Basic communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; simple English is a plus.
- Certification in basic security training or first aid is an advantage (Gada Pratama or Gada Madya)
