Job description for Security Engineer at Sagara Technology
We are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen and maintain the security of our company's infrastructure and systems. In this role, you will identify security vulnerabilities, implement technical remediation measures, ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and internal PPN Policy, and monitor remediation progress to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
Responsibilities
- Review system and infrastructure audit trails and security logs to identify security gaps and compliance issues related to PPN Policy and Law No. 27 of 2022 (UU PDP).
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement technical remediation plans to address security threats and audit findings.
- Monitor and track remediation activities to ensure timely resolution of identified security issues.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports on remediation progress, security findings, and compliance status.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, or Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Proficiency in analyzing system, database, application, and network logs.
- Strong understanding of log retention, log integrity (hashing/WORM), and personal data protection requirements under UU PDP and internal security standards.
- Hands-on experience with IAM/RBAC, Network Security Groups (NSG), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), OS/container hardening (CIS Benchmarks), system patching, and data encryption (TLS/AES).
- Familiarity with remediation tracking and issue management tools such as Jira, GitLab Issues, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
