Qualifications:
1. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewall rules).
3. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and system administration.
4. Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, such as threat analysis, incident response, and monitoring.
5. Experience or coursework in security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus solutions) is a plus.
6. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to analyze and respond to security alerts, logs, and incidents.
8. Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying security threats.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor network activity for potential security threats using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
2. Analyze and respond to security incidents under the supervision of senior security analysts.
3. Assist in preparing reports on cybersecurity incidents and trends.
4. Support the implementation and management of security controls and policies.
5. Perform vulnerability assessments and suggest remediation actions.
6. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure systems are secure and compliant with organizational standards.
