SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Darsyafii Islamic School is looking for a compassionate, professional, and dedicated School Counselor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students’ social-emotional wellbeing and character development
• Provide individual and small-group counseling and guidance
• Support students with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders in supporting students’ needs
• Work together with parents when student support is required
• Support bullying prevention, safeguarding, and student wellbeing programs
• Identify students who may require further professional support and coordinate appropriate referrals
• Maintain professional and confidential student records
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Guidance & Counseling, or a related field
• Experience working with children, preferably in an Early Years or Primary school environment
• Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional learning
• Good communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Caring, patient, trustworthy, and able to maintain professional confidentiality
• Aligned with Islamic values and Darsyafii’s commitment to character education
