Job description for SAP Technical Consultant at HAND Enterprise Solutions Indonesia
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyze functional specifications provided by functional consultants to design and implement robust SAP solutions
- Provide accurate technical estimations and collaborate on solution designs to optimize business processes
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP Objects and modern SAP RAP / CDS technologies
- Perform initial unit testing and technical verification of developed components before passing them to functional or end-user testing
- Conduct code debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for complex custom programs and interfaces
- Prepare comprehensive technical specification documentation based on functional requirements
- Share knowledge by documenting technical solutions, troubleshooting tips, and best practices for the team
Qualification
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Technical Consultant
- Proficient in English (verbal and written) is a must for effective team and stakeholder communication
- Strong proficiency in core ABAP programming (RICEFW), including Reports, RFCs, IDocs, BAPIs, Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs), Dialog Programming, and Forms (Smart Forms / Adobe Forms)
- At least 1 to 2 full-lifecycle implementation experiences
- Solid working knowledge across core SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, or EWM
- Exposure to modern development paradigms, including SAP RAP (Core Data Services / CDS Views, OData Services), basic Fiori/UI5 understanding, and S/4HANA environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to independently troubleshoot and mitigate technical risks
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
