Job Description
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Japanese clients, contractors, trading companies, and engineering firms.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to engineering projects, construction services, industrial equipment, and infrastructure development.
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, cost estimates, and commercial documents in Japanese.
- Conduct commercial negotiations regarding pricing, delivery schedules, contract terms, and after-sales services.
- Support tender and bidding processes, including bid document preparation and correspondence.
- Act as the main liaison between Japanese clients and internal departments, including engineering, technical, production, and project teams.
- Monitor project progress, handle client inquiries, coordinate project changes, and support project completion and payment collection.
- Conduct market research and identify industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities within the Japanese market.
- Maintain regular communication with clients through meetings, site visits, emails, and presentations.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Engineering, Business, Japanese Studies, or related fields.
- JLPT N2 or N1 certification is preferred.
- Business-level Japanese proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Able to handle meetings, negotiations, emails, and business documentation in Japanese.
- Experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, or Customer Relations is an advantage.
- Experience in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, or Project-Based Industries is preferred.
- Basic understanding of engineering projects, construction processes, technical specifications, or industrial equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willing to work in South Jakarta and travel for client visits when required.
