Job description for Sales Engineer at PT Astrindo Starvision
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by searching for potential clients within the assigned region.
- Establish, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Manage, analyze, and interpret customer requirements to recommend appropriate IT products and solutions.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, including product explanations, demonstrations, and technical presentations tailored to client needs.
- Assist in the design and customization of solutions based on specific customer requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the sales team and technical specialists to deliver effective solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide after-sales support and respond to customer inquiries or technical issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze sales performance, pricing, and cost structures to support effective sales strategies.
- Prepare and submit regular sales and activity reports to head office.
- Support marketing activities by participating in trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events when required.
- Contribute to achieving regular sales targets, particularly team-based targets.
- Deliver product training and prepare supporting materials for internal sales teams.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve customer-related technical or commercial issues.
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
- Solving client problems
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Informatics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Having minimum 1 year of experience with related field (software sales is preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of IT hardware is an advantage.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High level of professionalism, responsibility, and willingness to learn.
