Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in North Cikarang. The Sales Engineer will identify and qualify prospects, conduct site visits, and provide technical consultations to understand customer requirements related to heat exchangers, cooling water circuits, and water treatment systems. The role involves preparing and delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to customer applications. The Sales Engineer will coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams to design solutions, prepare quotations, and ensure accurate and timely project handover. Daily responsibilities also include managing a sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, maintaining customer relationships, and providing after-sales technical support and troubleshooting as needed. The role requires regular reporting on sales activities, market feedback, and competitor insights to support business development strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering, preferably with experience in HVAC, cooling towers, heat exchangers, or water treatment systems.
  • Proven experience in technical or industrial sales, including prospecting, solution selling, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, performance data, and system specifications, and translate them into clear value propositions for customers.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort with on-site visits, equipment inspections, and collaborating closely with customer engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools for tracking leads and opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in energy efficiency, industrial process optimization, or utility systems (chilled water, cooling water) is an advantage.
