Job description for Sales Engineer Intern at PT MFF Oilfield Services and Engineering
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Basic knowledge of sales and marketing principles, especially related to technical or industrial products.
- Strong interest in the oil and gas industry, particularly drilling tools and rig equipment.
- Eager to learn and develop technical knowledge and sales skills in a professional environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Task & Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team in understanding customer needs and assisting in promoting company products.
- Attend customer meetings and collaborate with engineers to learn how equipment requirements are evaluated.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of technical proposals and sales documents.
- Collect and organize data for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other client documentation.
- Help identify and report issues with installed equipment under supervision, coordinating follow-up support.
- Learn to customize product configurations based on customer feedback and requirements.
- Observe and assist with delivering technical presentations to clients and prospects.
- Provide basic technical support and guidance under the mentorship of senior staff regarding equipment use and maintenance.
- Assist in tracking orders, renewals, and coordinating delivery schedules.
- Support the sales process for technically complex products by working closely with experienced sales engineers.
